Greetings! My name is Evgeny; I also go by Jack (especially when ordering coffee). I'm an indie game developer working with Unreal Engine 5.5. I also worked with Godot 4.x before. My background is in enterprise software engineering, and I have around 10 years of professional experience. I have a lot of transferable skills between industries.
As part of an indie team, I develop several games on UE. Being an indie developer means I take on multiple roles: gameplay developer, narrative designer and developer, level designer, and so on. Let's connect :)
I value meaningful projects, telling captivating stories, and providing healthy gameplay. Or at least create good entertainment vibes that bring players joy and emotions.
My focus is to create ludonarrative-dissonance-free experience: I try to make sense of the gameplay and events. Things don't happen just to happen.
Convey a narrative through gameplay. I deeply value storytelling, having spent years crafting original tales and building a unique world for multiple campaigns as a dedicated Dungeon Master.
Healthy environment
Team work, respect for developers and their craft, matching passionate and growth mindsets
Players/Community-centricity
I believe in the need for constant warm connection to audiences
Practice > Theory
I like to get hands dirty working through experiments instead of theorizing stuff
Details are loved
I trust in adding details that convey how I care for the products
